Abstract
The Journal of Management publishes original scholarly articles related to the study of management and organization from any area within the domain of management: organizational behavior; organizational theory; human resources management; business strategy and theory; internationalization; interdisciplinary; including both theoretical and empirical approaches. The journal expands the study of management by publishing innovative articles based on critical or radical perspectives using a variety of methodological approaches and showing the implications of the research for managerial practice. One issue a year is devoted to the Yearly Review of Management that presents literature reviews of various areas within the field of management and contains a selected number of thematic reviews of special-interest areas.

The Scope of the JoM and Consulting Editors
The Journal of Management welcomes empirical and theoretical articles dealing with micro, meso, and macro workplace phenomena. Manuscripts that are suitable for publication in the Journal of Management cover domains such as business strategy and policy, entrepreneurship, human resource management, organizational behavior, organizational theory, and research methods.

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

With 646 journals now ranked in the JCR, SAGE continues to experience consistent growth within the reports, achieving an 18% increase over the past five years. In this year’s reports, 94 SAGE journals have received a top 10 category rank, with 19 journals receiving their first Impact Factor (IF). 199 titles are now placed in the top 30% of the JCR, and 56% of SAGE journals are ranked within the top half of their subject category. In the 2019 release SAGE publishes the market leading journal within 12 categories shown below.
A 12% increase in coverage in the SSCI over the last five years means that there are now 434 SAGE journals in the SSCI. 61% of the SSCI journals received an increased IF, of which 5 are newly acquired titles ranked in the 2019 release. 134 journals are now placed in the top 25% of the JCR rankings for their category.
In the 2019 release SAGE publishes the market-leading journal within 10 SSCI categories: Cultural Studies; Education & Educational Research; Education, Special; Family Studies; History & Philosophy of Science; Psychology, Psychoanalysis; Psychology, Social; Rehabilitation (SSCI); Social Sciences, Mathematical Models; and Social Work.
Over the last five years, SAGE has seen a 28% increase in the number of titles in the SCI index, primarily due to strategic acquisitions and organic growth across the medical, engineering and technology disciplines, with SAGE now being marked out as one of the top five publishers of medical journals in the world. SAGE continues to significantly grow its coverage within SCI with 261 journals now ranked and 41 journals in the top 25% of their SCI category.
In the 2019 release SAGE publishes the market leading journal within 2 SCI categories: History & Philosophy of Science; and Orthopedics. By 5-year Impact Factor, SAGE publishes the market-leading journal in History & Philosophy of Science.
